Each year CSE sponsors disadvantaged rural African children so the can attend Rifa Conservation Education facility for week long studies in conservation, biology, ecology and environmental sciences.

In 2000 we were able to send 56 Zimbabwe children from the Marirangwe Secondary school, the Mudzimu Secondary school and the Karl Pisec Primary school in Marongora. Their ages ranged from 6 to 18

“Last year we identified bringing in more disadvantaged schools to Rifa as a priority for 2000.  While we have not achieved this, we have seen some improvement on previous years. The major difference this year was receiving sponsorship funding from an American based environmental organisation, Curriculum Safari Earth, specifically for the purpose of enabling three disadvantaged schools to attend Rifa.”
